John Piper (1903-92 )

Born in Epsom, Surrey, he studied at Richmond School of Art, Royal College of Art and Slade School of Art. One of the greatest British artists of the twentieth century he was renowned for his versatility with a love of landscape and architecture represented by extensive print making, ceramics and stained glass in addition to his paintings. His exhibitions include Cooling and Sons Gallery, Lefevre Gallery and Leicester Gallery.
